Personal Stuff
My love of design is frustrating and I wish I had the skills to make a career from it. I've had a few opportunities to make a difference using my design skills and where those opportunities arose, I took them. Book covers for example interest me because I'd like to think one day I'll have a printed representation of me. Trying out my name on different book designs is an endless road though when I designed them for Jack Grassby's books I had a deadline to help me finish the job.
Designs and logos section of this site contains work I've done out of personal interest and experimenting with various software. Some of it is work related, such as designing forms. Other stuff is me just seeing what I'm capable of.
Photography interests me from a happy snapper point of view - fiddling with various settings and exposure times is just too much to absorb. What the camera fails to do, Photoshop can fix!
Cards are something I've done for years, originally handmade - but when computers came into my life it became easier to produce cards that were personalised but looked like it was bought from a shop. Some designs had better production values than others - but at the time I felt they were good. One thing I have learned is that I have gotten better with age and experience - thankfully.
