For
the project to continue as planned we need
to raise another £5,000. It is scheduled
to begin June 2003 and will last about two
months. In the short time leading up to this,
we aim to raise the profile of this project
through local press and radio, fundraising
events and educational talks with school children
in Aberdeenshire. The University of Aberdeen
will make a contribution towards the cost
and each team member has personally contributed
to the fund. The challenge we face now is
to raise the rest ourselves.
The project for five people
has a total budget of just over £10,000
shown by the breakdown below.
- International Travel
- Regional Travel
- Visas and Permits
- Local Counterparts, Guides
And Porters
- Food and Accommodation
- Medical Kit
- Training
- Insurance
- Equipment
- Camera Film
- Production and Distribution
of Reports and Resource Books
- Other Printing, Stationary
& Postage
- Post-Project Costs
- Contingency (10%)
- Total £10,046.06
A number of grants have been
applied for and charitable trusts approached.
Currently the outstanding amount totals over
£5000. Several team fund raising events
have been planned to raise further funds.
